About

I create furniture, objects, and art events that encourage us to think more expansively about the environment and our role within it. In the woodshop and at my sewing machine, I combine foraged materials with wood, textiles, and clay to create works that alter, record, and draw attention to the user’s movement and gestures.

In addition, I am interested in how food and the act of eating in community can create temporary sanctuaries for focus and social and environmental attunement. I host dinner party events that encourage conversations about the environment that are driven by curiosity, connection, and care.

My work is driven by an enduring fascination with ecology, which I conceive of as “that which surrounds and permeates us” while paradoxically eluding our attention. Across all media in which I work, I aim to illuminate that web of cause and effect in which we are all embedded.
